OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety specifies requirements to be met to enable the production, packaging, storage and distribution of safe food. Certification against the standard provides assurance to clients (retailers and branded manufacturers) that product safety is maintained and reduces the need for retailers and manufacturers to carry out their own audits of their suppliers. 

The requirements of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 8 have been revised with Issue 9 being published on 1 August 2022. Audits for Issue 9 will commence on 1 February 2023. 

To ensure clients are ready for their audits in February 2023, we have developed a comprehensive training course to explain the extensive changes stipulated in Issue 9 of the Global Standard. 

The course will provide the delegates with an understanding of the key changes of the Global Standard - Food Safety Issue 9, audit protocol, and interpret the changes. At the end of the course, delegates will have the knowledge and skills required to implement the BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9 system.

ENTRY LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience with BRC implementation or suitable BRC training is recommended. Delegates should be comfortable communicating, reading and writing in English.
